Annoying Stuff Fat People Do IV: Blog
Aloha blogosphere! I would like to say that we were sunning ourselves somewhere and as a result unable to communicate via computer. Butttt, that would be a lie. We have simply been lazy. Never fear, we are back and ready to talk about our emotional issues with food and our disdain for others that probably stem from our own insecurities somehow. In sum, we still feel like this:

Without further ado…
Blogging: Love Handles, how can you judge someone for blogging when you are, in fact, blogging? Isn’t that hypocritical? Over course it is!! But I’m specifically talking about fat acceptance blogs. That’s right, these exist in literal droves. Google it up and see all the fun you can have during the day. Reader be warned though, while this seems like an interesting way to fill an afternoon, you will quickly get addicted and probably spend the entire afternoon legit baffled by comments from internet fatties. These blogs both annoy and fascinate me for a variety of reasons. Mostly because these people think that the world should accept them for being chubs and give them hugs. Lots even call for a fat rights movement. Granted, an article in USA Today did say that discrimination against fat people is one of the last allowable forms of discrimination. I can tell you with 100% honesty though if anti-fat discrimination legislation ever becomes a reality I will quit my job, go to law school and argue my life away for opponents of this movement (because I will obviously be qualified enough to do so one year out of law school).
There are a lot of reasons I feel like this “movement” would be ridiculous. Mostly because historically movements crusade for rights for those who are discriminated against at no fault of their own. Ie–you’re born a woman. It’s possible to change that…but a LOT more difficult than getting your butt to the gym. While we’re at it, let’s have a blonde movement. As a blonde, I am OFFENDED at people telling jokes about my lack of intelligence or thinking I’m dumb without talking to me.

These blogs say that fat people should have a right to be fat. Have at it, but I have a right to think that you’re lazy as a result and have a right to want to deny you health coverage because you are STATISTICALLY more of a risk to me than a healthy-sized person.
Advice for the skinny girl who thinks she’s fat: Read these blogs, comment on them and speak out for everyone who has made exercise and portion control a way of life because you don’t want to get fat!!

My Blog is the new fat acceptance. We admit and celebrate the fact that we are gluttons. We are the only honest fat acceptance blog.
